HSP

Henoch-Schonlein Purpura. Don't ask me how to pronounce it because I can't.
I have been diagnosed with his nasty thing. I have nasty rashes that are the worst one my legs as you can see. It is awful because it lasts a long time (from 6 weeks to a year), it also affects other body problems. The most serious problem is renal (kidney) failure. I have tests this coming week to check for that. It also causes rheumatoid arthritis which sucks by the way. My ankles, toes, knees, elbows and knuckles are all affected. It also causes abdominal pain which I have too. It is awful. I have to keep my feet elevated as much as possible and they itch/sting horribly. The worst part is that it is so rare the doctor couldn't even pronounce the name and had never seen it before. I have been referred from specialist to specialist. This is by farrrrrr the worst illness I have ever had. I am pretty much out of commission. Please pray for me to have a quick recovery.

Oh my heavens Erin. Im sorry! Do you think this could have any relation to what your little guy has since it can lead to arthritis. I will be thinking and praying for your family. I hope you have a quick recovery and that it doesnt become any things serious.

Ein, I hope this rash goes away quickly and that all the other symptoms abate soon too! You are in my prayers!
