Tony found out about this cool fishing place near Show Low, so we decided to give it a try. We drove up in the dark and it got cold fast! As it turns out the heater in Tony's car does not work! We bundled up the kids and kept on truckin'. We made it late at night and bunked with some friends that used to live in our ward. Then the next day we hit the water and found out that the place we went had some monstrous fish! That makes it so much more exciting!
Liam decided that this weekend was a celebration of him turning 5 1/2. Since when do we celebrate half birthdays? Oh well, it was fun for him! He insisted on a 5 1/2 year photo shoot so here it is! Funny boy!
This boy hooked and brought this sucker in all by himself! Definitely a proud parenting moment!
I managed to get a big one too! The fish at this place were HUGE! Whenever one would swim away if we accidentally spooked it, it was like a whale was swimming away! The whole body of water rippled! Often times their fins would be sticking out of the water! Monsters!
Ya I caught this guy with a baby on my back. I'm awesome I know.
These little things were all over. At first I thought they were goslings, but they seem to be full grown little water birds of some sort.
We stay ed with some friends while we were up there. It was so fun to reconnect with them since they moved away about 2 years ago. Their house is beautiful and we had a great time goofing around with them and their 2 foreign exchange students!
And then there's David. We aren't quite sure of him. :)
