We decided to make a last ditch effort to go see some snow. The weather was predicted to get a few inches of snow for the weekend, so we left Saturday and came back Sunday. We weren't able to stay at our favorite cabin that we love, but we stayed in a little dinky hotel and it was fine. Eliza wasn't so sure about the snow. We played in the early afternoon when we first got there and she didn't really like it. She enjoyed the sled and pulling pulled and but would cry as soon as you would stop. She was so bundled she kept falling over. This picture just cracks me up. We played for a few hours then went to check into our hotel since the kids were cranky and hungry. After we ate and settled into our hotel room we headed out again to play in the snow before it got dark. We found a better place that had more snow closer up to Snow Bowl and built a cute little snowman that Liam named Olaf. Eliza was much happier this time around and enjoyed playing the snow and helping make the snowman.
Once we got to our hotel we realized that we forgot a rather vital piece of equipment. We forgot our pack and play. The hotel office didn't have one either so we made a make shift crib on the floor with blankets and a chair. It worked just fine.
This is what we woke up to on Sunday morning. A good 4-5 inches of snow and it was still snowing! Liam loved it and Eliza was mesmerized. Liam played in the snow while we loaded the van back up.
The roads were bad and it was still snowing. I was sooo anxious and nervous and didn't feel safe or confident in Tony's driving skills at all. Let me remind you of the time, he spun us out and into a snow bank on the way home from the snow when I was pregnant with Liam. I was angry at him for not going slow and it made me even more angry that he was enjoying it and admiring the beauty. There I was freaking out about our lives and he is just happy go lucky. Ugh!
It was a good trip and Liam was sad when we told him we were going home and not just to another place to play in the snow.
